Authentic 35mm grain delivered as ProRes 4444 with a genuine 12-bit alpha channel. It drops straight onto your timeline in Normal blend mode, adding texture without touching the contrast of the shot underneath.

Digital footage can look clinically clean. A grain pass is the fastest way to give it the organic texture that audiences associate with film, and this overlay does it without a plugin or a render-heavy effect.

The clip ships as ProRes 4444 with a real 12-bit alpha channel, which matters more than it sounds. Grain overlays distributed without alpha force you into Screen or Add blend modes, and those lift your blacks and flatten contrast. Here you keep Normal blend mode and your grade stays exactly as you left it.

Ten seconds at 1920x1080 and 30fps, built to loop cleanly, so you can cover a long timeline by repeating the clip. It scales up to a 4K timeline without softening, since grain has no hard edges to lose.

ProRes 4444 is an editing codec, not a delivery one: it decodes fast on a timeline, survives colour work without falling apart, and behaves identically in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. The file is large because nothing has been thrown away.
