Licence

Plain version first: you can use these in work you get paid for, including client work, without paying us anything extra or crediting us. What you cannot do is resell or redistribute the plugins and assets themselves.

What you get

A non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable licence to use the plugins and assets you have access to, for as long as your purchase or subscription entitles you to them.

The plugins and assets stay the intellectual property of Awesome Video Studio. You are licensing the right to use them, not buying ownership of them.

You can

• Use them in personal and commercial projects.
• Use them in client work, including work you invoice, and in advertising, broadcast, streaming and social media.
• Use them in an unlimited number of projects, with no cap on views or revenue.
• Install them on the Macs you personally work on. We do not count machines, we count people: one licence is for one editor.
• Keep and keep using the videos you exported, forever, whatever happens to your access.
• Restyle and adapt them through their own controls to match a brand.

You cannot

• Resell, sublicense, rent or give away the plugin or asset files, on their own or inside a bundle, a template pack or a course.
• Upload them anywhere others can download them, including shared drives, asset sites and template marketplaces.
• Hand the files to a client as files. Deliver the finished video instead. If the client needs to edit the project themselves, they need their own licence.
• Share one licence across a team or a studio. For that, ask us about team licensing.
• Claim the plugins as your own work, or present them as a product you made.

Client work, in detail

This is the question we get most, so to be explicit: if you are an editor and you use these on a video for a client, that is included, and it does not matter how much the client pays you or how many people see it.

The line is the files. Your client can have the exported video. Your client cannot have the plugin, or a project file that requires the plugin, unless they hold their own licence.

Subscriptions

If your access comes from a subscription, the licence lasts as long as the subscription does. When it ends you stop getting updates and new releases, and you should not keep installing the plugins on new machines.

Work you already exported stays yours. Nothing stops working retroactively and no video you delivered is affected.
