Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Awesome Video Studio ("we", "our" or "us") sells plugins and motion assets for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. The site is operated by Javier Cristóbal Gutiérrez, a self-employed professional (autónomo) based in Spain, and we are the data controller for personal data collected through awesomevideo.studio.
For any privacy question, email hi@javi.link.
2. What data we collect
- Purchase data: when you buy, the checkout is handled by Paddle, who collect your name, email address, billing country and payment details. We receive the order and your email address so we can deliver the product and provide support. We never see or store your full card number.
- Support data: anything you send us by email when you ask for help.
- Usage data: how you interact with the site (pages visited, approximate location, browser and device type), collected only if you accept analytics cookies.
- Consent preferences: your cookie choices, stored locally in your browser so we do not ask on every visit.
3. How we use your data
- deliver the products you buy and give you access to your files;
- provide support and answer your questions;
- handle refunds, chargebacks and licence issues;
- understand how the site is used so we know what to build next (analytics, only with your consent);
- comply with our tax and accounting obligations.
We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly ask us to, and we never sell your data.
4. Legal basis for processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE), we rely on:
- Performance of a contract: to deliver what you bought and support it.
- Consent: for analytics cookies.
- Legitimate interest: to answer enquiries, prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- Legal obligation: to keep invoicing and tax records.
5. Payments and Merchant of Record
Payments are processed by Paddle.com, who act as Merchant of Record for every order. That means Paddle is the seller on record, handles EU VAT and US sales tax, and is a separate data controller for the payment data you give them. Their handling of that data is governed byPaddle's privacy policy.
6. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies required for the site and checkout to work, and (only with your consent) Google Analytics 4 to understand traffic. You can accept, reject or change your choices at any time via the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner. See our Cookie Policy for the detail.
7. Third parties and international transfers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that help us run the store, under appropriate data-protection terms:
- Cloudflare: hosting, content delivery and storage.
- Paddle: checkout, payments, invoicing and tax.
- Google (Analytics 4): website analytics, only with your consent.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by mechanisms recognised under the GDPR, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data retention
We keep order and invoicing data for as long as tax law requires (generally several years in Spain). Support emails are kept for as long as needed to resolve the issue and any follow-up. Analytics data follows the retention setting configured in Google Analytics.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, emailhi@javi.link. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
10. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
12. Contact
For any question about this policy or your data, email hi@javi.link.
