About this pack

Twelve looping loader animations delivered as Lottie JSON. They are vector, so they stay sharp at any size, and each file weighs a few kilobytes instead of the megabytes an equivalent video would cost.

A loading spinner is one of the few pieces of interface that every user is guaranteed to look at directly, because there is nothing else to look at while they wait. It is worth having one that does not look like the framework default.

These twelve are delivered as Lottie JSON, which is a vector format. The animation is stored as shapes and keyframes rather than pixels, so it renders crisp at 24 pixels in a toolbar and equally crisp filling a 4K frame. The largest file in the pack is under 200KB and most are well under 50KB, which is a rounding error next to a video loop of the same animation.

Every loop is built to cycle seamlessly at 60fps, so there is no visible seam where the animation restarts. Colours are defined as shape fills, which means you can recolour any of them to match your brand by editing the JSON or by tinting at runtime with a Lottie player.

They run anywhere Lottie runs: lottie-web on a site, Lottie for iOS and Android in an app, and After Effects or a Lottie-aware editor for video work. The pack covers twelve distinct motions, from a DNA helix and an ECG pulse to an isometric cube, a domino cascade and a liquid droplet.
